Radiant Senior Living’s Mission Statement Recognition program highlights employees for their contributions to the common goal of our mission to create and sustain comfortable, caring environments for those who depend on us. Team members at each Radiant Senior Living community can earn points each month from activities such as attendance, on-going training, and more. There are four levels of Radiant Jewel awards given as milestones of achievement. The Radiant Diamonds award recipients have earned over 2,400 points. Meet Monica, from Farmington Square in Medford, Oregon
Monica M.’s journey at Farmington Square Medford spans an impressive 22 years, a testament to her dedication and love for her role in the community. What sparked her passion for senior living? "What inspires me is to prepare the residents' meals with love," she shares.
Monica enjoys adding flavors and her love to her food preparations, sharing that "my favorite thing is cooking for the residents with all of my love and my chili flakes," she chuckles, hinting at her secret ingredient that adds a spark to every dish.
Challenges are an inevitable part of any role, but for Monica, conquering them is especially rewarding. She explains, "When I have a new recipe… but I know I can do it and make myself proud," highlighting the joy that comes from pushing her limits.
For those stepping into a similar role, Monica's advice is succinct yet powerful: "Have passion for the job." Her wealth of experience speaks volumes about the significance of loving what you do.
Reflecting on her tenure, Monica admits that picking a favorite memory is nearly impossible. "I have too much to put on paper. I am so happy to be at Farmington Square, my second home," she says, illustrating the depth of her connection to both her work and the community.
Beyond her culinary expertise, Monica's personal life shines brightly. She's happily married with four children and a charming grandson. Traveling and cheering for baseball games are family favorites, but above all, "The most important thing to me is keeping my family together," she shares.
