Celene is the Business Office Manager at Sweetbriar Villa, an Assisted and Memory Care community in Springfield, Oregon. Celene has worked in senior living for over 19 years.

My Senior Living Story - Business Office Manager

What was your first job in senior living?

"Housekeeping in our memory care unit."

What is one moment in your career that made you realize that you are doing something that you truly loved?

"I don't know that there was one defining moment. But, definitely when the people I was working with started getting to know me and smiling when I came to help them."

What stands out to you about working at Sweetbriar Villa?

"I love it because it's so small and I get to know the residents really well. And the staff really well."

If someone were looking to work in senior living, what would you say would be the greatest benefit of working in this field?

"The relationships that you get with your residents."
